Heating & flaming
Flame treatment units offer a quick and effective solution for various applications. The main areas of application include:
Roofing and bitumen membranes: When laying roofing or bitumen membranes, the bitumen membrane is melted onto the substrate using powerful heating torches, without additional adhesive, and bonded directly to the substrate in a surface-tight manner.
Weed destruction: The heat destroys the cell structure of the plants and leads to their long-term destruction. The application in spring is particularly effective on young plants. It is possible to selectively treat areas of vegetation as required; the treatment of the areas must be repeated at intervals.
Additional applications of the flame treatment technique include thawing icy surfaces, heating and sealing foils, tar work and drying concrete surfaces and masonry.
Technical gases

Technical gases from ROTHENBERGER Industrial are used in soldering, welding, flame cutting, heating and outdoor applications. Special technical specifications, various connection threads and temperature influences must be taken into account.
Soft soldering & hard soldering
The soldering product family is traditionally the most extensive in our company history. In addition to soft and hard soldering equipment, with and without piezo ignition mechanisms, our special range also includes fire painting sets, solders, fluxes and accessories.
Soldering is a process for joining metallic materials such as copper and copper alloys, nickel and ferrous materials with a suitable additive, the solder. The difference between soft and hard soldering lies in the so-called liquidus temperature (temperature at which the solder is in liquid form, also known as the working temperature). If this temperature is below 450 °C, it is soft soldering. If the temperature is above 450 °C, it is hard soldering. During the soldering process, the filler material, the solder, is melted onto the materials and joins them. Soldered workpieces can easily be separated again by melting the solder joint and thus, regaining their original shape.
For soft soldering, our range consists of gas and electric soldering equipment. For hard soldering, we only offer high-performance gas soldering equipment with correspondingly high flame temperatures.
Welding
Joint welding and build-up welding with ROTHENBERGER Industrial arc and oxyfuel welding equipment, as well as plastic welding equipment. Our range focuses on the needs of the do-it-yourselfer and the professional user.
The arc welding product group includes conventional AC welding transformers for welding rod electrodes, as well as modern inverter and gas-shielded arc welding machines and plastic welding machines. Thanks to their technical features and low weight, all devices are also suitable for mobile use in the commercial sector.
ROTHENBERGER Industrial welding machines are easy and safe to use and are available in various power levels and equipment. Suitable for use on construction sites, they enable both DIY enthusiasts and professionals to achieve optimum welding results and the simple and safe installation of modern plastic pipes when installing sanitary and heating systems using the socket welding process.
Heating
We have specialised in a range of mobile, gas-powered heaters with the corresponding accessories for rapid heating, for example of construction sites, outdoor tents and as a heat source for outdoor events in the cold season.
Our gas radiant heaters and gas heating cannons are operated with standard propane cylinders. The mobile heaters for travelling are designed for operation with commercially available gas cartridges. The radiant heaters are characterised by simple and safe handling, they are compact, easy to transport and reliable in use. The optimised design of these appliances is aimed at minimising gas consumption.

The polystyrene cutter from ROTHENBERGER Industrial with 230 V power cable offers a precise and clean solution for cutting polystyrene and rigid foam boards. Thanks to the electrically heated cutting blade, the device glides effortlessly through the material without creating crumbs or dust - ideal for precise cuts in insulation work, installation work or modelling projects.
