Heating & flaming
Heating torches are used in various areas. They always work quickly and effectively.
The best-known areas of application for flame treatment include the scarfing of roofing felt or bitumen sheeting, which is only recommended with heating torches, as well as weed eradication as an environmentally friendly and economical alternative to conventional weed control.
The advantage of applying roofing or bitumen membranes with pre-heating torches is that no additional adhesive is required and work progresses quickly. The coating bitumen is melted by exposure to heat from the torch flame and thus bonds with the substrate. Special flame weeding devices are particularly suitable for weed eradication in the garden or on pavements.
The plants or plant parts are briefly heated with the flame, causing the cell walls to burst and the protein molecules to denature. This effect kills the entire plant in the long term. The optimum time for this is in spring. The younger the plant, the better the result. This treatment should be repeated several times, as the weeds can initially grow back stronger due to the stimulation of the germs.
Other possible applications of the flame treatment technique include heating, welding film, tar work, drying concrete and masonry.
Technical gases
ROTHENBERGER Industrial is a sought-after gas specialist in Europe. All gas cartridges, steel and aluminium cylinders are certified and comply with current standards and directives. Safety is a top priority for us. Hazardous substance and dangerous goods labelling is constantly checked and adapted to legal requirements. As a result, we guarantee a flawless process with regard to transport, storage and use.
Our gases are used in the areas of soldering, welding, heating and flaming technology. Special technical specifications, various connections and temperature options must be observed.
Soft soldering & hard soldering
The soldering product family is traditionally the most comprehensive in our company history. In addition to soft and hard soldering equipment, the range also includes branding sets, solders, fluxes and accessories.
Soldering is a process for joining metallic materials such as copper and copper alloys, nickel and ferrous materials. The difference between soft and hard soldering lies in the so-called liquidus temperature (temperature at which the solder is in liquid form).
If this temperature is below 450 °C, it is soft soldering. If the temperature is above 450 °C, it is hard soldering. For soft soldering, our range consists of gas and electric soldering equipment. For hard soldering, we only offer gas soldering equipment.
Both variants only work with the help of a molten non-ferrous metal alloy, which means a solder. It is important here that the melting temperature of the solder is always below the melting temperature of the base materials to be joined. These are wetted by the molten solder, but not melted.

Welding
Joint welding and build-up welding with ROTHENBERGER Industrial arc and oxyfuel welding equipment. Our range focuses on the needs of DIY enthusiasts and professional users.
The arc welding product group includes both conventional AC welding transformers for welding rod electrodes and modern inverter welding units, which facilitate mobile use thanks to their low weight.
Our MIG / MAG welding machines for welding various workpieces with wire electrodes under shielding gas allow high-quality weld seams in steel, stainless steel and aluminium materials with simple handling. For simple and cost-effective welding work, a flux-cored wire welder rounds off our range. A selection of different welding accessories for arc welding is available to suit the user's needs. Socket welding units for welding plastic pipes, such as PP, PB, PE or PVDF, in the installation sector complete the ROTHENBERGER Industrial welding range.
The devices in various performance levels and equipment are easy and safe to operate. Suitable for use on construction sites, they enable both DIY enthusiasts and professionals to lay modern plastic pipes easily and safely when installing sanitary and heating systems using the socket welding process.
Heating
We have specialised in a range of mobile, gas-powered heaters with the corresponding accessories for rapid heating, for example of construction sites, outdoor tents and as a heat source for outdoor events in the cold season.
Our gas radiant heaters and gas heating cannons are operated with standard propane cylinders. The mobile heaters for travelling are designed for operation with commercially available gas cartridges.
The radiant heaters are characterised by simple and safe handling. They are compact, easy to transport and reliable in use. The optimised design of these appliances is aimed at minimising gas consumption.
